These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the buildUP Foundation website and any programs, applications, or services we offer, including our text-based candidate profiling program. By accessing our website, submitting an application, or opting in to our text messaging programs, you agree to these Terms. buildUP Foundation is a fund operating under Players Philanthropy Fund, a Maryland-based 501(c)(3) public charity.

Use of Our Website

You agree to use our website lawfully and not to misuse, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the site or its systems. We may modify or discontinue any part of the website at any time without notice.

Applications and Programs

Submitting an application to our bootcamp or any buildUP program does not guarantee acceptance or placement. We evaluate applications on a competitive basis and reserve the right to accept, decline, or waitlist applicants at our discretion. Information you provide must be accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge.

Candidate Profiling Program

buildUP offers a text-based candidate profiling program that allows participants to build a profile describing their training, certifications, skills, and availability. Participation in this program is voluntary and requires opting in by text message.

Building a profile does not, by itself, share your information with any employer or contractor. Your profile is only made visible to buildUP's contractor and employer partners if you separately opt in to that visibility, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Profile information is provided by you and is not independently verified by buildUP unless otherwise stated. Contractors and employers are responsible for their own hiring decisions. buildUP does not guarantee any interview, introduction, offer, or job placement as a result of participating in this program.

Communications Consent

By providing your email address, you consent to receive emails from buildUP related to your application, our programs, and related opportunities, including transactional messages such as application confirmations and reminders, as well as informational updates.

buildUP sends two distinct types of text messages, and opting into one does not opt you into the other:

• General program texts: informational messages about buildUP programs, events, or opportunities.
• Candidate profile texts: messages related to building, maintaining, and updating your candidate profile through our profiling program, including periodic check-ins asking you to confirm your status.

Text messages of either kind are sent only when you separately opt in to receive them. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out of further messages, or HELP for assistance. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of participating in any buildUP program.

You may opt out of email or text communications at any time using the unsubscribe link in an email, by replying STOP to a text, or by contacting info@buildup.org.

Cookies and Tracking

Our website uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to monitor usage and improve your experience. By using our website, you consent to this tracking as described in our Privacy Policy.

Donations

Donations made to buildUP Foundation are contributions to a charitable fund and may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. We reserve the right to direct donations to the areas of greatest need within our mission unless otherwise designated.
